    • Covers the ethical responsibilities of carrying and using firearms, focusing on self-defense situations, the use of force, and avoiding liability​.
  4. Firearm Nomenclature and Maintenance

    • A thorough introduction to the parts, functions, and maintenance of revolvers and semi-automatic weapons​
    • Safe handling practices both on duty and off duty​
  5. General and Specific Firearm Safety

    • Detailed safety rules, from handling to transportation of the weapon, and recommended protective equipment​
  6. Appropriate Use of Force

    • Legal standards governing the use of force, the objectively reasonable force standard, and real-life scenarios​.
    • De-escalation techniques and interpersonal communication, including the use of cover and tactical methods to avoid unnecessary escalation
  7. Range Training and Weapon Handling

    • Includes instruction on drawing, holstering, loading, and reloading procedures​
    • Practical training on shooting positions, sight alignment, trigger control, and stance​.
  8. Active Shooter Scenarios

    • Recognizing active shooter situations and the roles and responsibilities of security personnel​

Certification and Compliance
